AMERICAN RIVER FUTBOL CLUB
AMERICAN RIVER FC
American River FC was established in 2009 to provide players in the Sacramento area a high quality, low-cost option to year round competitive soccer. Our teams compete in the NorCal Premier League.
While our players come from all over Sacramento, the majority of our training and game fields are located in the towns of Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Folsom, Orangevale and Rancho Cordova. We also have a dedicated indoor space for training and futsal.

SRFC & ARFC: Hometown Heroes
Matt Briseno is a former coach of American River FC. Although he is no longer with tthe club (his kids aged out of youth soccer), he is still passionate about the sport and involved with "the beautiful game." Check out the video to see how Matt has been chosen as Sacramento Republic FC's "hometown hero." He certainly is an inspiration. Congrats, Matt, and keep up the great work.

ARFC AGE GROUP CHANGE 2026-2027
As you may or may not have heard, starting with the 2026-27 season, US Soccer, US Club Soccer, and NorCal Premier have made the decision to switch team formation from the current birth year model (January 1 - December 31) to one based on the academic year (August 1 – July 31). (See Attached Age Group Matrix.)
All member clubs of our league are making this change to be complaint with the new age group mandate.
We are working diligently to ensure a smooth transition for the players and families in our club and will continue to work to support the development of our teams and players.
We understand there will be some cases where a decision will need to be made due to an extenuating circumstance, and in those cases common sense will be used.
